Last Month the Japanese try to retrive this mod a little bit more. They played in the at 2pm CET. At the moment the gametracker, com Server Monitorring is off. Hope soon they turn it on. The ranking seems to work.
yeah the skidmarks look a little funny up close but when playing its pretty cool. This setup pumps out a lot of effects though so in a multiplay server it might have to be a bit less action.. I have ctd a lot when playing with this setup.. spew out too many sprites and bf starts getting upset.
well i have got this thing driving straight but will kick into a drift without any difficulty.. this car is a lot more stable that anything I have tried before due to very stiff suspension (which was always a bit buggy / glitchy but have got it rock solid.
also used xbox controller in this vid which works great and allows holding a clean drift without too much key tapping. also a big feature is partial throttle with a controller.. as opposed to keyboard..
tbh.. as you already know from your work on this kinda thing.. it probably needs a few setups.. one for keys.. one for wheel/controller etc
worth remembering that bf42 was built on the Rally Sport Challenge engine.. and so when the cars are setup for racing like this they really are damn good.

You mean physics setups? Or input mapping? I built my physics setups depending on the vehicles themselves, rather than how one was going to drive it.
But yeah, throttle on the right thumbstick makes for great drift control. I've been doing that since Akina.
And holy hell, Reg. The graphics from that game look practically identical, especially the roads.

Yeah, it looks like a really good Battlefield 1942 mod.
