LOL Doom I was playing that on my Sega 32X emulator the other day. I wonder what will be cutting edge 20 years from now? With the leaps we've made since the 90s it bound to be awesome!
I mainly just play games for stories these days, recently completed games include ; Fable 3, Dead space 2, Dead space extraction, Killzone 2 in preparation for killzone 3, the saobteur, Just cause 2 and Enslaved. I'm working on a few too, like the wheelman, dragon age origins + all the DLC, I'm guessing that'll take me around 100 hours, Alpha protocol which is severely underrated, the first dead rising, Skate 3, and NEED FOR SPEED HOT PURSUIT, Criterion are the best racing game devs in the world.
I'm a careful driver <3, Never played the old hot pursuit, last one I played and the last NFS that was good was underground. Racing sims = cockpit view, arcade racers = 3rd person view, can't handle all that speed so close to the ground, burnout paradise is the best arcade racer in existence .

I'm a big fan of real race sims like GTR2 & Grand Prix Legends both great sims with huge online/modding communities. But I really like the realistic physics, the behind wheel view (track IR support) & cool selection of new/old race cars. I rarely ever play though anymore because my racing seat is used for flight simming & its too much work to swap the gear.
