Last Month the Japanese try to retrive this mod a little bit more. They played in the at 2pm CET. At the moment the gametracker, com Server Monitorring is off. Hope soon they turn it on. The ranking seems to work.
Ended up getting it for $750. (About 300 UK Pounds..) *I have no 'pound sign' on this Aussie Keyboad..
I kinda just got rid of my pc when I left London.. but brought the processor (P4 2.6Ghz HT) and Ram (1GB) and hard disks.. so I put the ram in and now have 2.6GB which is nice.. the processor is wrong socket though so I might try and sell it if anyones interested. Its always been overclocked at 3.0 - 3.2 Ghz and purrs away nicely..
Did I do ok ya think?
It runs BF2 on all medium settings absolutely perfect.. I have not tweaked them yet but I think a bit of antialiasing and quality could be lifted without frame rate drop.
I've never had an Athlon before but so far it seems cool... The Hyper Threading on Pentiums own though.. its so nice doing 2 things at once...
AMD's > Intel for gaming, and that's the same graphics card as me, and I run 1942 & HL2 oh high, so you should be fine, just don't buy crysis or anything . seeing as it cost £300, and my card alone was £120 last year, you got a bargain, now get in the damn server.

Nice. That CPU is a Venice E3 core. Which means that its supposed to be a good overclocking CPU (If i remember correctly....). 1 GHz or above still with air cooling. So thats great!
cool setup! too bad it wasnt one with a intel socket 775, then you could have bought a C2D processor! anyways that processor is better than the P4 in games (only) :p
Sweet.. After thinking I would blow the credit card on a new pc... I kinda used it for an Amp and 2 big speakers.. and have had to buy furniture and everything for the new place.. so ebay was the way.. but seems like I got a pretty good deal.
Will have to wait another year or two before buying a new rig again..

Very easy... Todays BIOSès has alot of settings that only has to do with overclocking. (Theyre actually built for the user to play with) U take the CPU FSB speed, also called "HT" and multiply it with something called "Multiplier factor" and the result is the CPU speed aka Ghz. ..... anyways.. something like that. Advanced overclockers even play with the amount of voltage each piece of hardware gets.
This however is a problem with branded PCs, like Dell, HP and so on. Since they seem to like to use their own type of BIOS. (Some manufactures has grown wiser tho)
So.. on a modern PC, its all in the BIOS.
Flamin - Ive just heard that AMDs Opteron CPU`s are falling up to 50% in price, very soon. So theres a chance of a cheap upgrade, if u feel its nessacery. Just look out for the Socket, if it fits. (Opterons are CPUs intended for servers - some of them are also great for overclocking - still ok for gaming)
