Pavilion I think you should shut up about what prosseser is the best. If AMD made shity CPU's, they would have been where they are today. And your 2.8 don't work that fast thats for sure. And the AM2 is the new socket. 939 is going out and the 940 is taking over for the 939.

I agree with Cr@zy Clown!
Btw Pavilion, an Intel P4 CPU @ 2.8GHz isn't good at all..! It sucks really... To compare it with an AMD CPU...: An Intel CPU running @ 2.8GHz is as good as an AMD CPU running @ 1.8GHz... thats an AMD Athlon 2800+...
Sorry you're wrong, but AMD is way better than Intel! Thats the way it is right now...!
prety much what CC said, they wouldnt be where they are today if they didnt make top notch stuff . maybe you've just had an intel all your life, you havent had a chance to try the wondersof what AMD has to offer, try before you criticize, AMD is a much better gaming computer, while Intel has the edge in office working - non gaming wise, although the dual core works great for it. well CC, I'll be getting a 939 pin for my birthday, and if it works fine, who cares, people are always having old computers, i have a 560 p4 in my old comp, well my latest comp, the one i use when everything is working , and its been great.
ive used a computer with AMD Athlon 64 3000+, isnt good at all, it has more ram, and a better graphics card, my computer is better, Office, Adobe, Moviemaker, Most programs work better on my computer, The technology amd uses comes from Intel, intel started with MMX and SSE, AMD made 3d now! but you dont see intel taking it

I have had AMD in my last two computers, and they have and still are working great. Now I have the 939 socket, but I'm cahnging to to a dual core soon, so I'm gonna go for the AM2 socket this time and the DDR2 ram.
