My comp is 7 years old now and is finally frying itself. One thing after the other is going wrong and in order to make this P.O.S. Play the new games its gonna cost me over $500. So I might as well buy a new comp but i can't find any good deals. Do you guys know any good online computer stores?

buy the stuff separated and put it together if you know how to, would recomend a amd64 3000+ 939 as its a cheap and powerfull and very clock-able processor, and Twinmos 2x512 megs DDR ram, and a cheap 9800 or if you want a better card buy a GF6600 they are cheap and powerfull

Actually I prefer Teabag's idea. That way you dont pay extra for some mofo putting the things together. Building a computer is NOT hard. Also the tip on AMD and a 6600 is great, just remember: DO NOT buy the 128MB graphic cards if you want to play BF2. TwinMOS memory? I love them!! Got 2 gigs of them myself, cheap, stable and fast!

id perfer to get a 3200+ it may not seem like much but the secret is the higher number u get the higher multiplyer u get available.. helps if u ever wanna overclock
i have a 9800 pro...
the 66 or 6800 line is a completly different bread.. i would reccomend them since they are fuly complient on all the new direct X junk and what not.. 9800s are getting dated..
