Last Month the Japanese try to retrive this mod a little bit more. They played in the at 2pm CET. At the moment the gametracker, com Server Monitorring is off. Hope soon they turn it on. The ranking seems to work.
The first real, not-so-much-beta release of RFA Manager, an open source RFA editing program for Mac OS X by yours truly is out. Get it over at http://code.google.com/p/bmmt/.
It's fully localized in german and english, and it can do what you'd expect it to: Remove files, add files, create new folders, extract files, the deal. It can also save and open the game in a single step, which may be a neat little shortcut. You can also search for file names and file contents, and you can edit text files without changing the application. And of course it has all that you'd expect it to have, such as unlimited undo/redo, drag and drop, the usual.
So, if you have a Mac with Leopard, go check it out. If not, go buy one and then check it out. Official forum is over at http://bfmods.com/, where Cartoonfield also resides.
Update! Version 0.1.1 solves the problem of not being able to open certain (most) compressed files. So if you have 0.1.0 and find it's useless, go get 0.1.1.
Update again! Version 0.1.2 solves even more problems, such as not being able to edit files, not opening windows or dialog boxes not going away. It also adds automatic updates. Sorry for all the many releases, I promise I'll calm down now.
Sweet... Wish I had a mac to reep the benefits (theres no way reep is spelt like that) but I don't so maybe one day.
Now for you next project, why not buy a PC and start doing something useful.. our parents did not pay taxes to send us to school, get clever and then develop software for 1% of the home computer market. Start looking after the 99% of us and get on the PC.
Great job though dude, seriously! __________________
It's the grim reaper. Now, for Windows, there are already lots of solutions out there that do the same, sometimes better. My ultimate goal, tough, is to make this software so good that you'll switch to a Mac just to use it.
If only it supported the compressed rfa's But still a hell of a good job and the best tool in the world as of today. I'll do some digging someday for a source on software that supports the compression. __________________
Being compatible for Leopard only is, in many ways, what allows me to make the app this great. If I had to support Tiger as well I'd be nowhere near as far now. So a Tiger release really isn't practical for me, sorry. __________________
I'm surprised you didnt write a full page describing why not lol Well, its getting there now. Just a few files unable to open. Great work man! __________________
Shrooms, if you don't mind, could you post the source there as well, or at least post a link to where one can download the source? Due to the conditions of the GPL, forgetting to do that would be software piracy (yes, it's odd. It's meant to be). I don't care much, but I use other code that's licensed under GPL, and I'd like things to be completely clean and correct if I can. __________________
Short version: No way, sorry. The long version is very long, ask if you want it. However, I heard that there are programs that do similar things for Microsoft Windows platforms, you might want to look into them. __________________

whoops, i meant alot of the stuff nowadays is made for windows __________________
why do so many ppl think a Mac should run their windows s/w??? It's a Mac - not a winblows machine. It's different! Sheesh
Though there are some coooool options for Intel Mac owners with regards to the M$ way.
And almost all mods for fps/games will work on the Mac version of the same game. AppleCrypt Mods helps a little in this line.. as does the mighty Macologist.
So even if you can't do a Windows version, you could maybe mention that possibility on the page, for anyone who wants to grapple with the code! __________________
