Probably not. Compare it to car racing games. You have some games where you do wild and crazy thing like track mania. Then you have forza and gran turismo. You aint gonna be doing loops in forza or gran turismo but that doesn't mean it isn't going to be fun. I believe the fun factor in skate will come from the time it takes to learn how to be good at the game. Also I got pretty good at tony hawk, and when you get really good the game looses its appeal as you add combo on combo on combo.
My poop is clean and pure as the giggles of new born babies.
after playing skate, i'm not sure i could play tony hawk anymore. and you can do pretty much any trick in skate that you can do in tony hawk, as long as it's a real trick, not some stupid crap that they came up with.
it's a little slower, yes, but you're so focused on nailing a run that you need it to be. put it this way, if you're a gamer that likes a challenging game, you will like it. if you're a gamer who doesn't like getting too involved, stick to tony hawk and grinding power lines and 1,000 ft. rails.

well i played the demo. throughly unimpressed. it was actually more boring than the proving grounds demo, i'd rather be playing project 8, or even better thps 3.
It was really irritating how the simpliest things were made so hard to do by a clumsy control scheme. u can' just go you have to be pushing all the time, which is distracting while ur trying to line up and jump and prepare the ollie. something as simple as a rail grind has such a build up to it, then its all over and you've gone 2m down a rail. i feel the controls ask you to do too much at once.
